The National Health Survey (NHS) provides information on the prevalence of major non-communicable diseases such as diabetes mellitus and hypertension and related risk factors like obesity and smoking. It also includes information on practice of chronic disease screening, use of primary healthcare services, mental health and self-rated overall health. This latest NHS captures, for the first time, data on caregiving, hearing loss and renal impairment among Singapore residents.
The survey is conducted once in every 6 years.
