Frailty Strategy Policy Report
In view of the ageing population and the anticipated rise in frailty prevalence, the Ministry of Health (MOH) Frailty Policy Workgroup was convened in end 2021 to identify gaps in the prevention, detection, and intervention of frailty, and provide recommendations that will address the gaps and improve the current frailty landscape.
The Policy Workgroup has since conducted a review of existing efforts, identified areas for improvement and made recommendations to address them. The recommendations will be encapsulated in a National Frailty Strategy that will be implemented across the health and social system by a separate MOH Frailty Implementation Workgroup.
This report sets out the gaps in the current frailty landscape, the lessons learnt from international developments, and MOH Frailty Policy Workgroup’s recommendations.
