Singapore has one of the lowest COVID-19 death rates in the world. Nevertheless, the mortality trends up to June 2022 show that there were increased deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic. These 'excess deaths' could be accounted for by deaths directly due to COVID-19, and deaths due to other causes but occurring shortly after COVID-19 infections.
