UPDATED JN.1 NOVAVAX/NUVAXOVID VACCINE AVAILABLE UNDER NATIONAL VACCINATION PROGRAMME
23 January 2025
From 24 January to 30 April 2025, the updated JN.1 Novavax/Nuvaxovid COVID-19 vaccine will be available at selected Healthier SG General Practitioner (GP) clinics under the National Vaccination Programme (NVP). This follows the Health Sciences Authority’s approval of the use of the updated JN.1 Novavax/Nuvaxovid COVID-19 vaccine in Singapore for individuals aged 12 years and above.
2. Individuals receiving the Novavax/Nuvaxovid vaccine as an additional dose should do so around one year (and at least five months) from the last vaccine dose.
3. This batch of updated JN.1 Novavax/Nuvaxovid vaccine will expire on 30 April 2025. As this JN.1 vaccine formulation will no longer be supplied by the manufacturer once the current stocks expire, eligible individuals who wish to receive the updated JN.1 Novavax/Nuvaxovid vaccine will have to do so by 30 April.
4. After 30 April, the Novavax/Nuvaxovid COVID-19 vaccine will not be available under the NVP. Individuals who wish to receive COVID-19 vaccination may choose between the updated JN.1 Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty or JN.1 Moderna/Spikevax vaccines, which continue to be free under the NVP.
5. Please visit https://gowhere.gov.sg/vaccine for the nearest vaccination sites and the vaccine types offered. Individuals who wish to book an appointment at a Healthier SG GP clinic offering the updated JN.1 Novavax/Nuvaxovid vaccine may do so through https://vaccine.gov.sg/covid from 24 January onwards.
6. COVID-19 vaccination continues to protect against severe disease. We encourage everyone, especially those aged 60 years and above, medically vulnerable individuals or residents of age care facilities to remain updated with their vaccination based on the prevailing recommendations.
