Situation Update
There are no new probable cases today.
To date, 147 patients have recovered from SARS, out of a total number of 203 probable cases. 30 patients remained hospitalised, of whom 14 are in intensive care.
Situation Update of Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre (PPWC)
No new suspect cases were admitted today. 1 visitor to the market who was earlier a suspect case was discharged today.
There are currently 6 persons linked to the PPWC who are admitted as suspects, comprising 4 visitors and 2 workers at the market.
New Suspect Patients
Six patients were admitted as new suspect cases today. Of these, 2 had travelled overseas, 1 was an inpatient transferred from another hospital, 1 was a patient who was previously admitted to TTSH, 1 was a hospital visitor and the remaining 1 had no contact history at the point of admission.

A summary of the home quarantine figures to date:

*Quarantine cases refer to those who are required to stay at home for precautionary reasons as they may have had contact with a SARS patient. These are healthy individuals.
# This is an added precautionary measure for discharged SARS patients as well as those with co-morbidities.

Travel advisory
MOH urges the public to heed World Health Organisation (WHO)'s advice to postpone travel to Hong Kong, Guangdong, Beijing, Shanxi until another time.
We would also like to advise the public to avoid travel to other SARS affected areas - Taiwan and Mongolia, unless absolutely necessary.
