Situation Update
As at 25 April 2003, 50 SARS patients remain hospitalised. There are 3 additional SARS cases reported today.
The 3 additional cases are:
(a)35 year old male who is the son of the 72-year old vegetable seller at Pasir Panjang Wholesale Market. He had been admitted to TTSH on 18 April as a suspect SARS case and developed lung changes yesterday;
(b)18 month old grand-daughter of the 72-year old vegetable seller; she had been admitted to TTSH on 21 Apr as a suspect SARS case;
(c)56-year old woman who is a friend of a probable SARS case; she was admitted to TTSH on 23 April.
Update of Pasir Panjang Wholesale Market (PPWM)
As of today, 8 more suspect cases related to the PPWM have been discharged. They consist of 1 family contact and 7 visitors. Another 6 persons who visited PPWM were admitted to TTSH as suspects today. There are currently 10 suspect cases admitted in relation to PPWM. They consist of 1 worker and 9 visitors to the market.

Discharged: 126 (6 new discharges)
Hospitalised: 50 (including 19 in intensive care)
Deaths: 17 + 2(pending further post mortem test results)
Total: 195
Suspected: 99 (including 7 children below 18)
Under home quarantine orders: 2729

Travel advisory
MOH urges the public to heed World Health Organisation (WHO)'s advice to postpone travel to Hong Kong and Guangdong until another time. We would also like to advise the public to avoid travel to other SARS affected areas - Beijing, Shanxi, Hanoi and Toronto, unless absolutely necessary.
