Senior Minister of State for Health Dr Lam Pin Min to Attend Universal Health Coverage Forum 2017

1 Senior Minister of State for Health and Transport, Dr Lam Pin Min, will represent Singapore at the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Forum in Tokyo, Japan, from 13 to 14 December 2017.
2 The UHC Forum aims to galvanise countries, development partners, civil society and the private sector towards the common goal of UHC. The Forum is jointly organised by the Government of Japan, the World Bank Group, the World Health Organization, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and UHC20301. Singapore was invited to the Forum by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
3 At the Forum, Dr Lam will share Singapore’s efforts towards successful ageing and primary care transformation, as part of the national strategy to strengthen the health system and ensure sustainability. He will also meet with Japan’s Minister of Health, Labour, and Welfare, Mr Katsunobu Kato, and other foreign counterparts on the sidelines of the event.
4 Dr Lam will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Health.
