1 Senior Minister of State for Health Dr Lam Pin Min will lead the Singapore delegation to the “Belt and Road” Forum for Health Cooperation: Towards a Health Silk Road in Beijing, China, from 17 to 18 August 2017.
2 The Forum, an initiative under China’s One Belt, One Road plan, aims to strengthen health cooperation amongst the Belt and Road countries, particularly in relation to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. China will share its health reform plans and developmental experiences at the Forum. The Singapore delegation was invited to the Forum by China’s National Health and Family Planning Commission.
3 Dr Lam will be sharing on Singapore’s efforts in transforming our primary care sector and the innovation efforts in our primary care landscape in the context of the growing healthcare needs of our ageing population and increasing chronic disease burden. He will also take the opportunity to meet with his counterparts from the Belt and Road Countries on the sidelines of the Forum.
4 Dr Lam will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Health.
