Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS)
For the Middle and Lower Income
Middle and lower income households can apply for the Health Assist Card to enjoy subsidies at participating GPs.
You get the following benefits by joining CHAS:
Subsidised medical and dental care at participating GPs and dental clinics
Convenience of visiting CHAS clinics near your home
Subsidised treatment at public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinics (SOCs) when you are referred by your CHAS doctor
Additional subsidies when receiving subsidised SOC treatment from Sep 2014.
If you are above 40 years old, you may also be invited by Health Promotion Board for free health screening! You only need to pay for your GP’s consultation, which is also subsidised.
You can apply if you are a Singapore Citizen, and your household monthly income per person is $1,800 or below. If your household has no income, the Annual Value of your home should be $21,000 and below.

Polyclinics
For all Singaporeans
Regardless of your income, you can go to polyclinics to see a doctor at highly subsidised rates. Young and elderly Singaporeans enjoy even more subsidies.
Permanent residents enjoy significantly less subsidies, and foreigners do not benefit from any subsidies.
Pioneer Generation Package
For our Pioneers
From 1 Sep 2014, all Pioneers will enjoy special CHAS subsidies at participating CHAS GPs. These special subsidies are better than today’s CHAS subsidies.
Pioneers who visit polyclinics will also get an additional 50% off subsidised treatments at polyclinics from Sep 2014.
Pioneers will receive their own Pioneer Generation Cards which will let them enjoy these benefits. The cards will automatically be sent to them, so they don’t need to apply!
