To ask the Minister for Health whether medical professionals at polyclinics have been advised to no longer issue memos declaring that an individual is deemed medically unfit for work.
Written Answer
There has been no advice to medical professionals at polyclinics to stop issuing memos declaring an individual's unfitness for work. Medical certificates and memos certifying unfitness to work continued to be issued at the discretion of the doctor, based on a clinical assessment of the patient.
