To ask the Minister for Health if he will provide (i) the number of kidney, liver and cornea transplants performed in Singapore over the past 3 years and their breakdown into cadaveric and live donor organs; and (ii) the average waiting list for each organ type.

1. Over the past three years, there were 228 kidney transplants involving Singaporeans, 63% of these were from deceased donors.
2. During the same period, there were 33 liver transplants, 64% from deceased donors. There were 271 cornea transplants, all from cadavers.
3. Currently, the number of patients waiting for cadaveric organs are 563 for kidney, 9 for liver and 25 for cornea.
