1. To recognise the contributions of our seniors to nation building, the SG50 Seniors package was launched by Mr Gan Kim Yong, Minister for Health and Minister in charge of Ageing Issues, today.
2. The SG50 Seniors package includes more than 200 types of offers from more than 100 companies across the broad categories of Dining, Leisure, Lifelong Learning, Lifestyle and Wellness. This package is presented by the Ministerial Committee on Ageing, and supported by the Tote Board and the Singapore Business Federation.
3. More than 700,000 seniors are eligible to enjoy the benefits of this package. The package has a secondary objective of encouraging seniors to “Stay Active. Live Well.” At the launch, Mr Gan said to the seniors: “I encourage you to take advantage of the offers and stay active. I also encourage younger Singaporeans to take advantage of these offers and bring your parents for a day out, whether to places of attraction or for a good meal, and enjoy some quality time with mum or dad, grandpa or grandma.”
4. The SG50 Seniors package booklet, which contains the complete list of benefits, will be mailed to all seniors aged 60 and above. Most of the offers are valid from June to August this year. Participating outlets will display the SG50 Seniors decal for easy identification.
