There have been no further cases reported since the last confirmed case of cholera with an onset of illness on 10 Oct 2004.
Results of investigation
Investigations indicated that all the cases of cholera had consumed seafood on or around the week of 2 Oct 2004.
Ministry's advice
The Ministry would like to highlight the importance of maintaining good personal and food hygiene practices at all times. In particular, the public is advised to:
Eat only foods that have been thoroughly cooked
Avoid consuming undercooked seafood e.g. raw fish, shellfish or squids
See a doctor promptly if you have symptoms of diarrhoea or vomiting.
