1. The Ministry of Health (MOH) and Health Promotion Board (HPB) will jointly conduct the National Population Health Survey (NPHS) from November 2016 to May 2017 to obtain information on the health status and lifestyle practices of Singapore residents. The results of the Survey will be used by MOH and HPB to plan and evaluate health programmes and healthcare services.
2. Twelve thousand households have been randomly selected to participate in the Survey. These households will receive a letter from MOH and HPB informing them of the Survey. Survey participants will participate in an interview about their health and lifestyle habits. Some of the participants will also be invited to undergo a health examination. We hope that the selected households would give their full support and cooperation for the Survey.
