MORE THAN 1,100 GENERAL PRACTITIONER CLINICS OPEN DURING CHINESE NEW YEAR
27 January 2025
1,115 general practitioner (GP) clinics will be open at various times during the Chinese New Year public holidays from 28 January to 30 January 2025.
2. Those who require medical care during the holidays can visit the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) GPGoWhere website (go.gov.sg/gpgowhere), which lists nearby clinics and their respective opening hours based on the address or postal code keyed in. We advise the public to make an appointment or call the clinic before heading down.
3. Members of the public, including children, who feel unwell during the festive period are encouraged to visit their GP or a 24-hour clinic for minor conditions. Those with urgent conditions that are not life-threatening, such as minor cuts or wounds, persistent vomiting, and suspected sprains which require X-ray investigation, may visit the following Urgent Care Centres (UCC):
i) Alexandra Hospital UCC: Open 24 hours;
ii) UCC @ Admiralty: Open from 8am to 11pm; and
iii) NUH Children's UCC @ Bukit Panjang: Open from 9am to 11pm.
4. We advise the public to seek medical treatment at a hospital’s Accident & Emergency department only for serious or life-threatening emergencies, such as chest pain, breathlessness, and uncontrollable bleeding.
5. To ensure that the 995 Emergency Medical Services can provide swift conveyance for those with emergency conditions, those who are not experiencing life-threatening emergencies should refrain from calling 995. We seek everyone’s continued effort and cooperation to exercise social responsibility.
6. MOH wishes everyone a happy Chinese New Year and a healthy year ahead. We would also like to take this opportunity to remind the public to eat in moderation and continue exercising regularly to stay healthy over the holiday period.
