Minister for Health Mr Gan Kim Yong to Attend the First Boao Global Health Forum in Qingdao

Minister for Health Mr Gan Kim Yong will attend the inaugural Boao Global Health Forum in Qingdao, China from 10 to 12 June 2019.

2. Mr Gan will speak at the Opening Ceremony of the Forum and participate in a High-level Roundtable Dialogue between Ministers and enterprises. At the Forum, Mr Gan will also speak on the importance of primary healthcare in ensuring universal health coverage.

3. The Boao Global Health Forum is the first health forum organised by the Boao Forum of Asia. Attendees include government leaders in healthcare, representatives from the World Health Organization and non-governmental organisations, as well as academic experts, enterprises and industry players.

4. The Global Health Forum will discuss global health issues, including universal health coverage, ageing, traditional Chinese medicine, and innovation and technology advancements in healthcare delivery.

5. Mr Gan will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Health.
