The Ministry of Health wishes all Singaporeans a happy Chinese New Year and a healthy year ahead.
2 MOH would like to encourage the public who feel unwell during the Lunar New Year period to visit their General Practitioner (GP) or 24-hour clinic for conditions that are non-urgent or life-threatening. Some 100 clinics will be operating at various times over the Chinese New Year public holiday[1]. The public may visit MOH’s website (http://www.moh.gov.sg/cny2014) for the list of clinics which are open from 30 January to 2 February 2014, and contact their nearest clinic for an appointment.
3 The public is advised to seek medical treatment at hospitals’ Accident & Emergency (A&E) departments only for urgent and life-threatening emergencies, such as chest pain, breathlessness, and uncontrollable bleeding. The public may visit the HPB website (http://www.hpb.gov.sg/HOPPortal/faces/Resources/AandE) for more information on other conditions which would require a visit to the A&E department.
