Prof Goh Chee Leok, Senior Consultant at National Skin Centre, Appointed as Interim CEO of NKF
The NKF Board of Directors has appointed Prof Goh Chee Leok, Senior Consultant Dermatologist at the National Skin Centre (NSC), National Healthcare Group, as the interim CEO of NKF with effect from 25th July 2005, for up to one year. Prof Goh, 55 years old, will be on secondment from the NSC to the NKF.
To undertake this assignment, Prof Goh will substantially cut down his clinical and other duties in the NSC. However, with the agreement of the NKF Board, Prof Goh will continue to run a clinic on a part-time basis.
Prof Goh was the Medical Director of the NSC from Jan 1990 to March 2004, and has substantial experience in managing healthcare facilities. At its helm for 14 years, Prof Goh was instrumental in the growth and development of NSC.
Prof Goh is widely-known and respected in the medical community, and has held key positions in various professional and academic bodies. Currently, Prof Goh is the Chairman of the Pharmacovigilance Advisory Committee of the Health Sciences Authority, and the Specialist Training Committee (Dermatology), Academy of Medicine. He has also served on various medical committees such as those on clinical research, ethics, drug evaluation and cancer care. Prof Goh has published more than 250 scientific articles in peer review medical journals and contributed to numerous reference book chapters.
Prof Goh was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Gold) Award in the National Day Award 2002. He is married with two children.
