Question No. 5233
To ask the Minister for Health (a) whether there are differences in enrolment rates to the Healthier SG programme among eligible Singaporeans and PRs based on demographic factors, such as gender and race; and (b) if so, what are the differences.
Answer
1 Since the launch of Healthier SG in July this year, we have enrolled 15% of the eligible population.
2 Among the ethnic groups, enrolment among Chinese was higher (16%) than the national average (15%), with Malays and Indians at 11%. There was no significant difference in enrolment across genders.
3 The Ministry of Health is working with various community groups, including the People’s Association, SINDA and M3 (a collaboration between MENDAKI, Muis and MESRA), to promote enrolment into Healthier SG.
