To ask the Minister for Health what is the median and average bill sizes for polyclinics in 2009, after taking into account subsidies.

Reply From MOH

Based on the data in FY 2008, the average bill sizes in the polyclinics were $16 for an acute condition, requiring 4 types of medication, and $48 for a chronic condition requiring 3 months of medication.

The corresponding median bill sizes were $14 and $36 respectively, based on the data supplied by the NHG Cluster.
