Question No. 6553
To ask the Minister for Health (a) for past three years, how much is the annual operating cost of maintaining the current healthcare apps, namely HealthHub, Health Buddy, NHG Cares and NUHS App; and (b) what is the breakdown of this cost by each app respectively.
Answer
1 HealthHub is our national health app that serves as the primary platform that is leveraged by the cluster apps for common patient-facing services across all public healthcare clusters and participating private healthcare entities, such as making appointments and accessing health records. Its annual operating cost is about $18 million, which also accounts for the shared infrastructure of HealthHub and the three cluster apps.
2 The three healthcare clusters maintain their own apps, Health Buddy, NHG Cares App and NUHS App respectively, that offer features customised to their specific facilities and services. These cluster-specific apps collectively add about $3.6 million, or 20% more, in annual operating costs.
