Acting Health Minister To Attend 7th ASEAN Health Ministers Meeting

Mr Khaw Boon Wan, Acting Minister for Health, will attend the 7th ASEAN Health Ministers Meeting and the inaugural ASEAN+3 Health Ministers Meeting in Penang, Malaysia, from 21 - 23 April 2004. The theme for the Meeting is "Health without Frontiers".

The meeting will discuss collaboration in health, such as measures to improve and strengthen regional capacity for communicable disease surveillance, early warning and response and cooperation in Traditional and Complementary Medicine.

Mr Khaw is accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Health.
