9TH Ministry Of Health-Mayo Clinic Update

The 9th Ministry of Health-Mayo Clinic Update will be held on Saturday, 8 April 2000 and Sunday, 9 April 2000 in Lecture Hall, Level 4, National Cancer Centre, 11 Hospital Drive, Singapore 169610. The theme for the Update is "Cancer". The Opening Ceremony will be held on Saturday, 8 April 2000 at 11.30 am and the Opening Address for the Update will be delivered by Dr Chen Ai Ju, Director of Medical Services.
The two distinguised speakers from the Mayo Clinic Foundation are Dr C Robert Stanhope, Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Consultant, Division of Gynecologic Surgery and Dr Scott H Okuno, Consultant, Division of Medical Oncology. They will be supported by thirteen local faculty members (Annex 1).
The Symposia for the Update include "New Trends in Cancer Management", "Current Understanding of Cancer Biology", "The Management of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancers", "The Management of Low Grade Lymphoma", and "The Management of Recurrent Cervical Cancers". Details on the programme for the Update is at Annex 2.
The Update is part of an on-going effort by the Ministry of Health to encourage Continuing Medical Education programmes for healthcare professionals in the public and private sectors.
