NOTICE OF QUESTION FOR WRITTEN ANSWER
FOR THE SITTING OF PARLIAMENT ON 28 NOVEMBER 2022
Name and Constituency of Member of Parliament
Dr Wan Rizal
MP for Jalan Besar GRC
Question No. 2409
To ask the Minister for Health whether he can provide an update on the redevelopment of the National Skin Centre.
Answer
Several of our healthcare projects have been delayed due to supply chain disruption and manpower shortages in the construction sector. The construction of the new National Skin Centre (NSC) building is now scheduled for completion by 2023, instead of 2022. NSC would still continue its services from the existing National Skin Centre till the completion of their new building.
Beside NSC, the new polyclinics in Sembawang and Khatib will be delayed by a year, to open in 2023 and 2024 respectively. The integrated development of the redeveloped Jurong Polyclinic and a new Nursing Home will also be delayed by two years to 2027.
