SINGAPORE AND CHILE SIGN MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING TO STRENGTHEN COOPERATION IN AGEING ISSUES

Singapore Minister for Health, Mr Ong Ye Kung, and Chile Minister of Social Development and Family, Dr Karla Rubilar, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation between the two countries on issues related to ageing during a virtual signing ceremony on 15 November 2021.
2. In the spirit of strengthening ties between policy makers and professionals, and supporting the World Health Organization’s Global strategy and action plan on ageing and health, Mr Ong and Dr Rubilar inked the agreement to strengthen, facilitate, promote and develop cooperation and collaboration on ageing-related matters in areas of common interest, including:
a. Financing of eldercare services;
b. Integration of social and health services;
c. Housing;
d. Technology; and
e. Dementia.
3. Singapore looks forward to deepening health ties with Chile under the auspices of the MOU.
