Subsidies for Palliative Care Services
Singapore offers subsidised Palliative Care for eligible citizens and PRs. Subsidy rates vary by residency status and household means. Apply through doctors or AIC.

The Ministry of Health provides subsidies for eligible Singaporeans and Permanent Residents who are receiving Palliative Care services such as:

Home Palliative Care
Day Hospice
What are the benefits?
Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents can receive up to 80% and 50% subsidies for Palliative Care services respectively.
Subsidy levels are determined through household means-testing using Monthly Per Capita Household Income (PCHI)1 to account for the overall financial resources of the household to support the household members. For households with zero PCHI, the Annual Value2 of their residential property is used to determine subsidy levels.

Effective as of 1 Oct 2024 2 Annual Value is the estimated gross annual rent of a property if it were to be rented out, excluding furnishings and maintenance fees. It is determined by IRAS, and may be checked via mytax.iras.gov.sg. Subsidy levels in 2024 will be determined using 2023 Annual Values. | ||
Who is eligible?
Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents receiving Palliative Care services by government-funded providers are eligible for the subsidies.
How do I apply?
Persons who require Palliative Care services can approach their doctor at the hospital or polyclinic, or AIC, for assistance in applying for admission to a subsidised Palliative Care service.
