Healthcare Reserve Force
The Healthcare Reserve Force (HRF) consists of volunteers who support Singapore’s medical efforts during disease outbreaks, civil, and national emergencies as part of MOH’s preparedness strategy.
Purpose of HRF
HRF volunteers are primarily trained along lines of operations involving non-clinical functional roles to meet disease outbreak operational requirements. Volunteers are expected to commit up to 3 days annually for pre-deployment refresher trainings and exercises.
To enable rapid response to healthcare crises and the flexibility to support other emergencies, training on the design and execution of rapid mobilisation will also be conducted with volunteers.
During crises, HRF volunteers who choose to volunteer for longer periods of time could be deployed for up to 7 days or offered a short-term employment contract.
