You have the option to choose between our traditional internship programme (Internship@MOH) or a more flexible work-study arrangement (Work Immersion & Study Programme or WISP) that allows participation even during the school term. Both programmes provide a valuable opportunity to gain insights into the ministry’s work, enhance understanding of its initiatives and policies, experience the deliberations behind public policies and acquire practical work experience.

Internship@MOH
Our internships offer a full-time programme spanning from 8 to 24 weeks. You can expect to actively participate in meaningful initiatives, gaining valuable insights into the work of the health ministry. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to policy development, engage in research activities, and enhance your understanding of the public service. The internship programme is designed to equip interns with practical skills and knowledge that are directly applicable to their future career pursuits.
Who can apply
Singaporean/PR tertiary student, from any discipline
Keen interest in healthcare issues and the public service
Able to commit for a minimum of 8 weeks
When to apply
The application window will be open twice a year, during the first week of February and September. Applications are to be submitted through this page (the link to the application form will be made available during those periods).
Selection process
Application
Applicants will be matched to available projects based on their indicated area of interest and period of availability.Selection and shortlisting
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by their respective Project Supervisors for an interview. This interview serves as an opportunity to share more information about the project and to assess the applicants' suitability and fit for the role.Outcome
Applicants who have been selected for the internship will be contacted by the Corporate Human Resource Division on the onboarding details.
Work Immersion & Study Programme (WISP)
The Work Immersion & Study Programme (WISP) offers undergraduate and postgraduate students from local institutes of higher learning (IHLs) valuable learning opportunities and insights into the work conducted by MOH. WISP Interns have the flexibility to participate on a full-time, part-time, or hybrid basis during their school term or term break.
Employment terms
WISP Interns will be offered a temporary contract of up to one-year, which will be managed by an external recruitment agency. The working hours should not exceed 16 hours per week (during school term) or 40 hours per week (during term break).
